What God is Doing: 

Hope Africa Collective

We have seen over 30 young people age 18-35 give their lives to Jesus and accept Him into their hearts! Through the faith discovery class that we are helping teach, the true Gospel is being introduced to some of them for the first time. Seeing the impact of the simple Gospel and His love for each and every one of them has been incredible! God is moving in Phillipi!

Jesus People

Through these meetings, people are being brought together from every walk of life and every background for one thing: Jesus. It has been incredible to see the healing and freedom that has come through these meetings. People are finding community that is running after Christ wholeheartedly, something they have prayed for for a long time! We are so expectant of what God has planned for Jesus People! 

Prayer

We started our prayer houses by devoting 40 days to praying everyday across the valley we live in. Through this, we have seen atmospheres change, people asking to join us, and God showing up and answering these prayers! One testimony of an answer would be that the police station that serves most of the valley heard about what we were doing, and not only asked us to be praying for them, but invited into their station every week to pray over them and share what God has put on our heart for them. The Lord is opening doors into the communities and places of authority through prayer, and we are so excited to see what He does as we continue to pray!

Township ministry

We have gotten to see God's love and kindness time after time through the opportunities to serve in townships we have been given. There was an opportunity to go into a township in our area called Masiphumele, where we were asked to help clean a creche (a daycare). This family runs this creche out of their home, where they bring in between 30 and 50 children daily; however, the space they have would best accommodate closer to 15 kids only. Many of these children are dropped off for days without being picked up, and this lovely woman takes them in and cares for them as if they were her own. An unfortunate side effect of this unending generosity is that cleanliness has slipped through the cracks, resulting in a very uncared-for and dirty home. We partnered with a group of people also connected to Masi to give her the day off, and clean the space for them., There was also a team of painters who came behind us and repainted the entire interior as well. It was so special getting to be the hands and feet of Jesus this day. We got to serve and show this family the love of Jesus, and she was so touched that day. His love is so tangible for all of His children here, and we are so grateful to get to see it firsthand.
